Multinational Retailer of Technology and Entertainment Products and Services to Join Premiere Lifestyle Centre in Summer 2009
Owings Mills, Md. (August 19, 2008) — Greenberg Gibbons announced today the addition of Best Buy to the Hunt Valley Towne Centre, a nearly one million-square-foot retail and lifestyle center. Best Buy is scheduled to open in summer of 2009, in a new 45,000-square-foot store.
“Attracting a nationally-recognized retailer of Best Buy’s stature adds another great dimension to our lifestyle center,” explained Brian Gibbons, CEO of Greenberg Gibbons. “With its strong reputation in consumer electronics and customer service, Best Buy is a great fit for Hunt Valley Towne Center.”
The new Best Buy will offer a wide range of the latest electronic products and services, including computers, cameras, mobile phones and home appliances from names like Apple, Sony, GE and more. Like Hunt Valley Towne Centre, Best Buy is committed to giving back to the community. Last year alone, Best Buy and the Best Buy Children’s Foundation donated more than $30 million to improve the vitality of the communities where their employees and customers live and work.
Since opening in 2005, Hunt Valley Towne Centre has become one of the region’s most successful retail destinations. Greenberg Gibbons transformed the former Hunt Valley Mall into a 980,000-square-foot lifestyle center, which includes 260,000-square-feet of space in an open air "Main Street" environment. The centre features a 140,000-square-foot Wegmans and a collection of nearly fifty shops and sit-down and casual restaurants including Ann Taylor Loft, Coldwater Creek, DSW Greetings & Readings, Spa in the Valley, Ulta, California Pizza Kitchen, Damon’s Grill and Sakura.
